Application

The participation fee is €100 per student.
The organization will provide accommodation and meals for the duration of the workshop (January 21-23, 2024) to candidates, including lunches (January 22-24) and a dinner (January 23).

Workshop languages: Italian, French, English. Students who can only speak English must be able to understand Italian or French.

This call is primarily aimed at doctoral students and young researchers.

The selection of the 15 participants will be based on the applicant’s academic record, training profile and knowledge of languages. Priority will be given to candidates whose research work falls within the thematic fields of these days. To do so, they must submit in a single PDF document a shortened version of their CV (500 characters maximum) and a presentation of the talk they wish to give at the Summer University (1500 characters maximum).

    Requirements

    In addition to applicant quality, the Organizing Committee will consider a number of features including: the coherence of the motivation with the aim and scope of the school, the potential benefit for the student’s research, the timeliness for the development of the student’s career. Preference will be given to applicants not participating onsite in the previous edition (2022) of the school.

    The school is especially addressed to doctoral students and young postdoctoral scholars. A very limited number of senior students (e.g., assistant/associate/full professors) can be admitted, if they provide strong and convincing motivation in their application letter.
